This is my school - my second home
The first eight-year school in Knjaževac was founded in 1951. It has been named after the national hero Dimitrij Todorović Kaplar since 1955. Today, it is the largest school in Knjaževac. Since 1951, the elementary school "Kaplar" is located in a building erected in 1923, for the Gymnasium. Today it is the largest school in Knjaževac. It has a special department for children with disabilities and 6 separate departments - in Stipina, Vina, Zorunovac, Bučje, Valevac and Balanovac. The school publishes the student newspaper "Lepa reč". School Day is celebrated on March 17.

This is us and our classroom - renovated and modern
Our class has 21 students. Teacher: Gordana Janevska. We are always ready to cooperate and discover new things. We like to work as a team. We are in the first grade and we already have awards in competitions supported by the Ministry of Education.
